Full Summary: When a Ming Dynasty outlaw is recruited and then double-crossed by various sides in a complex, multifaceted royal revenge plot, his only recourse is to fight them all in the name of justice. A period swordplay/martial arts fantasy that is set at the end of Ming Dynasty (late 16th century) in Southern China and is based on a story by Jin Yong. Constable Yuen Shing Chi (Yuen Biao) arrests a petty thief (Cheung Man), and in the process gets involved in a rivalry between the Golden Swordsman and the corrupt Lord Wan. There are plenty of entertaining high impact action sequences, all set to the wondrous scenery. The wise casting choices make for a very enjoyable feature, with a solid storyline and an awe-inspiring climax.
